you capture: motherhood

Well, not to beat a dead horse, but the theme at You Capture this week was also Motherhood.  It makes sense, it is the week after mother's day.  And we all have tons of pictures to share from our day!  I had a great mother's day.  Usually when I spend that day with my own mother or mother-in-law, I get outranked.  But this mother's day, my mom made the meals and I got to sit back and relax while she and my dad also played with my littles!  I did put in a lot of gardening and am now a nice glowy shade of bright red.  I'm usually vigilant to use sunblock on my ghostly skin, but I forgot.  Blame it on Motherhood!

i heart faces : motherhood

I haven't done i heart faces for a couple weeks because life got in the way.  But I had so many wonderful pictures from this past weekend of my parents and my littles hanging out together, I just couldn't resist this one- motherhood!  Rowan was gifted a cute little tea set from my parents, and both kids had so much fun with it.  It was hard to pick just one picture!  I'll post more soon.

Cheers!  Hope all you mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, and mother-figures had a wonderful Mother's Day.  Mine was perfect.

friday facts: nothing to say

Cause Mom always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything on your blog."  Or something like that.  I do want to say that I hope everyone has a nice mother's day this weekend.  Don't forget to honor those that gave you life, security, food, and unconditional love.  You won't find that anywhere else.

You Capture: outside

Ah, outside.  Where my children love to be.  We really do like being outside, and there's nothing better than being outside in Spring.  Well, maybe Summer if you're in a pool.  Or maybe Fall when you're crunching leaves beneath your feet.  Or maybe Winter when you make a big snowman and then come inside for cocoa... Hmm, my glass is half full today.  Which is weird cause it's raining outside right now, so we won't even being going out today!  But we got out loads of times over the weekend.

I can't wait to get back outside and plant all the veggies, herbs and flowers I bought recently.  What do you look forward to doing outside when good weather comes to town?

8 years!

Though your socks don't smell sweet
(I won't mention your feet)
And you're not the cleanest of men,
You use up the hot water
And drink more than you outta,
I'd marry you all over again.

I love you, B!  xoxo

My opinion. Brought to you by those who protect my freedom.

I have to say I am beyond proud to be an Army wife today.  And I want to thank every single man and woman who has ever served our country for their hard work protecting our freedom.  I feel blessed to be an American, with all the good and the bad that can come with that.  It is not always easy to support everything our country does, but that does not make me any less proud.  This is a moment in history where it is easy to be proud.  THANK YOU, to ALL that serve.  You have a special place in heaven.

If you know someone who serves, be sure to thank them for their part in our country's success in continuing to fight the baddies.
