Last weekend, we went on a few adventures. On Saturday, we went to a festival in a nearby town. It was a gorgeous day, bright, cool, and breezy. The colors of the trees were just amazing. The littles smiled a lot, had fun, and I of course forgot my camera. Oh, Ruthie. We had fun anyway. On Sunday, Brian decided we'd go to a nearby park to capture some of the fall colors. On the way there, it started raining. Pretty hard. So the park was out. But a drive in the country was in! So we went exploring, and found more rainy countryside. That's what you get in this neck of the woods. A lot of countryside, and very little civilization. Oh, and a snapping turtle in the middle of the road.
Beautiful pics and it sounds really nice!
ReplyDeleteHaha, still that was the mild kind of licorice..! :-D
I´ve put a hairdo-pic up just moments ago, I feel very happy about it! :-)
Just gorgeous! Nothing like autumn in the countryside--
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful, actually not unlike New England (and I always thought we had the market cornered on fall colors!). Cool turtle too, I hope he made it to his destination safely.
ReplyDeleteThis blog here made me cry with nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics. I love the rain drops. What a beautiful drive.
ReplyDeleteThat turtle looks kinda mean. But the drive looks beautiful! I love most things about Dallas but our lack of fall colors is not one of them. Oh, to be able to see this out my back door! I hope this weekend is decidedly less rainy.
ReplyDeleteThat turtle is amazing. What a treat. Beautiful photos too!
ReplyDeleteYour photos of fall in the Ozarks do something good for my heart! I fell in love with Missouri after going back to Brett's house to work on a weekend school project with a few others. We drove about four hours to Crocker from Shawnee, OK and the leaves were just turning and I was hooked. We never got that kind of color or crisp air in Fresno and I felt like I was in a movie! As beautiful as fall is in Colorado, it's still not quite the Ozarks! The aspen and poplar are my new favorites but I miss all of that oak.
ReplyDeleteDid you get this kind of fall in Chicago?
