Disclaimer: the colors of the leaves peaked here last week, so there are lots of pictures of fall foliage I'll be sharing this week. You're welcome.
Rowan and I spent a sunny morning at the park recently. Rowan called this part of the park the "tree tunnel." The colors were perfect. Now the wind and rain has taken down many of the leaves, and the trees are starting to look like bare bones. Just in time for Halloween.
I feel like Fall is slipping through my fingers. Halloween is in a week, and I'm still getting costumes together. I blinked and October is coming to a close. I thought I had the whole month to fit in pumpkin patch visits, hay rides, and Halloween parties. And now it's going to have to be crammed into this one week. Let's do this thing.
Do you have plans for Fall activities before the end of October?
Pretty! Reminds me of Saint Mary's College.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the tree tunnel! Gorgeous! I don't think we've hit our peak here yet, although a couple of the early bloomer trees certainly look it (leaves are all gone from rain). But there is one tree that I'm holding out for. Ok, 2 trees actually. One is on its way to turning a fiery orange and the other one is going to light up yellow any day now. I'm kinda freakishly excited about it. lol
ReplyDeletePumpkin patch for us tomorrow! Yay!
Ours have peaked and dropped except for the sugar maple which is turning a bronze red this year. Yesterday I was moving stuff for Florida out of the storage barn and people slowed down on the strret looking hopefully our way. Sorry, no more walks in the woods for Halloween. Nice to know that our neighbors miss it, but sad.
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of the Fall foliage, I love it. Hubby and I took a trip to New England just to experience this amazing season.
ReplyDeleteI am your new follower, would be great if you check out my blog and follow :)

I love the tree lined sidewalk. Ask Rowan to color a picture of the pretty leaves and then post it on here! She is quite the artist, like her Mama. Will never tire of seeing you capture the seasons, as mine are only warm, quite warm, hot, and quite hot here. xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I feel like life is racing by too fast in general, but yes definitely this fall is going by too quickly. I am making part of a really simple Halloween costume for W and it's taking forever and in danger of not being done for a party this Thursday. Why did I do it? :)
ReplyDeleteLovely tree tunnel, it looks so pretty so I totally get why you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pics. I want a tree tunnel like that on my driveway. ;) We haven't started the kids' costumes yet, so I am getting NERVOUS!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right-- this October had just flown!! Beautiful pictures {& I'm lucky, my kids are all old enough to worry about their own costumes! Mwahahahaha}
ReplyDeleteCan I come hang out there with your pretty trees??
